Profile: Nicolai Porsbo
Nicolai has worked with interactive media for the last 12 years. He holds a BA in Multimedia Communication from Roskilde University Centre.
Today he works as a Strategy Consultant for DR, the former monopoly Danish public service broadcaster. As part of DR Interactive, his responsibilities include the overall planning of content and services on dr.dk and DR's mobile internet portal, DR Mobil. Other tasks include market research, competitor analysis and scenario planning within the area of new media.
Nicolai was instrumental in the selection and implementation of a cross-organization, partly cross-media CMS for DR's interactive media.
Prior to joining DR, he has worked as Interactive Strategist for Agency.com and as Web Site Manager for the software vendor IT FACTORY.

Implementing a CMS across a large organization entails managing a very diverse range of needs and expectations.
The presentation will deal with experiences from DR where more than 300 employees from more than 30 different departments across radio, tv, web, mobile and teletext will be using the same CMS.
The focus will be on some of the pitfalls in projects of this type - and solutions that should be considered by management and planners. Issues that will be addressed include:
- Clarifying organizational needs and expectations
- Ensuring project awareness within the organization
- Managing the needs of producers and end users alike
- Designing for extreme flexibility
